This is an activity designed for a preschool student learning upper body protective technique. The streamers and balloons were hung on monkey bars and the student had to keep her hand up in front of her to find the balloons. Beads were placed inside the balloons so that they would rattle and be a little heavier. If her hand was not in the right place a balloon would hit her face, but they are soft enough so that they would not hurt her.
What a great idea/activity, I’m going to have my staff attempt it with autistic spectrum clients to teach boundaries, body awareness
