designed these activities for my last lessons with students, but these ideas can be used anytime a student develops a new skill and is ready to learn something new.
This is an idea that I thought of and used with one student over seven consecutive lessons. My goal was to build his orientation skills and for him to practice using a monocular.
A lesson with an objective to teach a student the reasons WHY a monocular may be used.
This is an activity I designed for my student who is learning to use a monocular. I first designed a treasure map and made signs for the student to read with a monocular to know where to walk to eventually find the treasure.
This is a lesson I designed that luckily can be used for more than purpose. For each student I wrote a few sentences that apply to their goals and deleted the key words. At the beginning of a lesson I can tell my student, "I have written a story with missing words and we are going to walk around campus to locate and read the words that complete the story."
